Deputy Prime Minister Sviridenko: Ukraine is working on sanctions on imports of diamonds and rubber from Russia

Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko said the country’s government is trying to impose restrictions on diamonds and rubber imports from Russia. His words are quoted on the website of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

“A key area Ukraine is working on is to impose restrictions on the import of Russian diamonds, which are rubber, for which the Russian budget takes $2 billion a year,” he said.

Sviridenko noted that the formation of global approaches to this issue will also take place at the G7 level.

The Minister also pointed out that Ukraine is using all available means to block Russian banks and stop the activities of foreign financial institutions on Russian territory.

Earlier Sviridenko, according to optimistic forecasts Ukraine’s earning Russia is already in 2023. Ukraine’s Minister of Economy stressed that the possibility of his country’s victory in 2023 depends on “military assistance, heavy weapons, anti-missile systems”, as well as sanctions policy.
