Sber, which has been actively using artificial intelligence algorithms in almost every field of activity in recent years, is a great resource for accelerating artificial intelligence business processes and increasing the quality of decisions taken. Andrey Belevtsev, Senior Vice President of CTO, head of the Technologies block of Sberbank, spoke about this in an interview with Russia 24 TV channel.
According to Air Guest, the company uses new technologies to analyze the risks of logistics, interact with customers and target offers.
“It is difficult to even name the area of our activity that we do not use,” said Andrey Belevtsev.
He also emphasized that Sber was one of the first companies to develop a language model, noting that it is a model for writing ruGPT-3 texts.
The Sber representative explains that AI isn’t just used internally—Sber’s voice assistants “live in homes” and act as virtual assistants—answering questions, searching for information, and performing various tasks for users.
Speaking about the future of unmanned technologies, Belevtsev noted that the company continues its development work.
He stated that unmanned vehicles traveled 3 million km last year.
“We started our pen trials with trucks as well as cars. And we see great hope in that. “Russia is a very large and vast country and cargo transportation is an important strategic direction for us,” said Sber Senior Vice President.
According to Belevtsev, several thousand people have already used the cars of SberAvtoTech, the developer of Sber’s unmanned and smart cars, including in limited mode on public roads, when the driver insured the car.
“People have to get used to the fact that cars can be unmanned,” said the guest of the TV channel.
He also said that the company plans to develop small forms of drones in hotels and cottage settlements.
Belevtsev described the infiltration of IT personnel as the problem of last year, adding that many experts have returned to Russia.
Sber noted that it is actively investing in the development of specialists, opening technology centers, making it possible to solve interesting problems and be part of a team.
Recall that at the end of December last year, the government introduced a new experimental legal regime (EPR) for the operation of unmanned cars and trucks in cities and suburbs of 38 regions of Russia.
