The economic impact of the implementation of the energy saving program of RN-Yuganskneftegaz in 2022 amounted to 1.8 billion rubles. This was reported by the press service of Rosneft, which owns the company.
Following the results of the implementation of the energy saving program, it was noted that Rosneft’s largest oil producing entity, RN-Yuganskneftegaz, saved more than 426 million kWh of electricity in 2022. In monetary terms, the impact amounted to about 1.8 billion rubles, which is 5.8% higher than in 2021.
Increasing the efficiency of production assets is one of the key elements of the Rosneft-2030 strategy.
RN-Yuganskneftegaz is a large electricity consumer. At the same time, the company’s specialists implemented more than 30 thousand energy-saving measures.
Rosneft explained that the greatest impact was achieved from the modernization of submersible equipment in the artificial elevator, pumping equipment in oil purification and pumping systems, and the maintenance of reservoir pressure, optimization of the operating mode of technological facilities.
More than 58% of the mill’s well stock is equipped with energy-saving electric motors and the savings from their implementation in 2022 is more than 110 million kWh. More than 17 million kWh savings were achieved thanks to the modernization of centrifugal sectional pumps in maintaining the reservoir pressure.
Also, RN-Yuganskneftegaz is working to replace the lighting system with LED sources. The impact of the implementation of this program in 2022 exceeded 10 million kWh.
It was also reported that last year the company passed a recertification audit for compliance of its energy management system with the requirements of the international ISO 50001-2018 standard. The certificate confirmed the transparency and objectivity of assessing the efficiency of energy consumption, reducing the impact on the environment and conserving natural resources and reducing costs.
