Scientists from Northwestern University (Illinois, USA) have introduced the world’s first wearable device that can detect the wearer’s fatigue from his voice. Portal reports MedicalXpress.

The device is a sticker affixed just below the throat. It contains a variety of sensors, including a microphone, a sensor for measuring temperature and determining respiratory activity and monitoring heartbeat.

The gadget is guided by the voice of its owner – if it has changed, lowered and a cough appears, the user receives a notification on his smartphone with a recommendation to take a break from work and rest. The researchers claim that their invention is suitable for people who actively use sound in their work, such as artists, call center workers or educators. Constant reminders to unwind and relax will help you stay energized and motivated rather than overworked.
