It is known that the Aurora operating system was created for use in the public sector. As for the domestic operating system for the consumer segment, by the end of 2022 became aware of the plans of the authorities to form a consortium to develop an open source Android-based mobile operating system. The joint venture will be launched by VK, Yandex, Sberbank and Rostelecom. The timing of this project is not yet known.
