Comparing the speed of Microsoft’s two operating systems, PCWorld journalists learned that the Windows 11 operating system is slower than Windows 10 in many cases. video posted on YouTube.
It was noted that tests were carried out on computers with hybrid architecture, Intel Alder Lake processor and new Thread Director technology. Correspondents explained that Microsoft has in the past guaranteed that Windows 11 was developed to make the most of existing hardware.
PCWorld tested the Raptor Lake-S Core i9-13900K processor on Windows 11 22H2 and Windows 10 22H2. Sometimes Windows 11 worked better, but in most scenarios the difference was minimal. In some cases, Windows 10 turned out to be faster, despite the later release date.
According to the final results, PCWorld noted nearly the same performance of both operating systems, with a slight advantage over Windows 10. The only notable exception is the first-person shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. In this case, Windows 11 turned out to be noticeably better than its predecessor.
