Smilegate Studio published a notice on the website that follows that the images of the female protagonists of the “Artist” class in the online game Lost Ark will become less frank. The developers announced the changes with a desire to comply with “Western standards”.
In the new version of the game, shorts and tights will be added to the 3D models of the girls “wearing” short skirts. The developers promised that all changes will be made in such a way as to affect the original images of the heroes as little as possible.
Nothing about gameplay will change for the “Artist” class. However, some skins will be modified to better adapt to Western norms,” the developers wrote.
It is noteworthy that the new images of the heroes will appear only in the Western version of the game. The Asian and Russian versions of the developers will leave the visual style of the characters unchanged.
The Artist class was introduced to Lost Ark in April 2022, shortly after Smilegate faced criticism over its open female armor design, which the developers dated March 8.
