Sony won’t release the next-gen console before 2027, informs Eurogamer Portal.

The PlayStation 6 release time was obtained thanks to a document made public as part of an ongoing UK investigation into a deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, which Sony opposes.

According to Sony, the acquisition of the game studio by Microsoft could lead to the loss of the popular Call of Duty series by the Japanese until the next generation PlayStation is released in 2027.

That’s why Sony has confirmed plans for a PS6 launch in the near future. In 2027, the PlayStation 5’s life cycle will be seven years. At the same time, the PS4, which was released in 2013, is still valid.

Formerly socialbites.ca saidMicrosoft offered Sony to make Call of Duty a generic game for 10 years.
