After the release of the long-awaited horror Scorn has already posted a video online showing how the game’s graphics differ on PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and Steam Deck. The author also showed the number of FPS the game showed on each of the above platforms.
In the video you can see how textures, lighting, resolution, load times, field of view, quality of effects, shadows and anisotropic filtering differ in Scorn on PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and Steam Deck.
These are the game modes:
- Steam Deck – 800p at 40 FPS with maximum graphics settings (weighs 28.78 GB);
- Xbox Series S – 1080p at 60 FPS (weighs 18.60 GB);
- Xbox Series X – 2160p at 60 FPS (weighs 18.60 GB);
- PC – 2160p with maximum graphics settings (weighs 28.78 GB).
But what conclusions did the author come to while testing the game:
- Scorn runs on the highest settings on Steam Deck. However, the lower resolution causes some details to be blurred;
- Support for NVIDIA DLSS (anti-aliasing with deep learning algorithms) technology is being added to the game, but is not yet available;
- On the Xbox Series S, the game has a lower level of detail and less good texture filtering;
- On Xbox Series X, the game looks pretty much the same as it does on PC with high graphics settings;
- The entire range of RTX 30 series graphics cards is capable of running this game on the highest settings without any problems.
The number of FPS on different video cards (one of the scenes is taken as an example):
- RTX 3050 – about 60 FPS at 1440p;
- RTX 3060 Ti – about 60 FPS at 2160p;
- RTX 3070 Ti – about 80 FPS at 2160p;
- RTX 3080 – about 90 FPS at 2160p;
- RTX 4090 – about 200 FPS (the author did not write what resolution the game worked at, but most likely it will be 2160p).
As for the Steam Deck, on this console the frame rate jumped from 40 to 60 FPS depending on the scene. There were also rare shots up to 23 FPS.
