There has been a massive pixel war on Reddit

After a five-year hiatus, the epic pixel battle is back on Reddit. On April 1, a 1000 x 1000 pixel blank canvas appeared on the r/place subreddit for anyone to paint over. Soon, flags of countries, meme heroes and game logos began to appear on the canvas.

According to the rules of the game, each participant is allowed to change the color of one pixel every five minutes. This forces users to gather in huge communities and reclaim parts of the canvas from other groups.

During the battle on the field you could have a jar of Elden Ring, main character Hollow Knight, anime characters and more.

In total, the pixel war lasted four days. Both major subreddits and popular streamers took part in it. In the video below you can see how xQc is “constructed”.
