John Carpenter, author of The Thing and Halloween, plays and shares his experiences regularly on social media. In an interview with The New Yorker, he told which projects he has been working on recently.

I’ve been playing Fallout 76 for quite some time. It’s a post-apocalyptic series and it’s a lot of fun. Fallout 76 had a problematic release due to bugs, but I really like it. There is also Horizon Forbidden West. Great game.

During the conversation, Carpenter was also asked if he was trying Red Dead redemption.

I gave up when I couldn’t get on that damn horse. It is too difficult. Now I play pretty well, but then it was a real nightmare.

The controls were not intuitive, at least not for me. But I think everyone liked it. It was a popular game.
