The developers from the Chinese room shared new details of the role playing game Vampire: The Masquarade – Bloodlines 2. This time they spoke about the dialogue system in the Vampire RPG follow -up.
In an exclusive interview with PC Gamer Magazine, the Gamer director Alex Skidmore said that the dialogues will look like a maze where it is not entirely clear which choice will lead to a good result. So players will have to think before they express a comment:
Ultimately, we want the players to investigate the story, so every dialogue choice is a kind of maze. We didn’t want people to just eliminate and thought: “I’m looking for a good option” or “I will choose the path of the paragon.” Because as soon as you start thinking, for example, you will always press the top right or something like that.
The developers spoke a bit about the background of the protagonist. The narrative director of Jan Thomas explained that at least in Vampire: The Masquarade-Bloodlines 2 players and the road will start as an old vampire called Fire, the spatiality for wagging will remain. The status of the character will appear in the reactions of other NPCs to the hero or skills – for example, players will be able to throw a person through the entire room without difficulty. In the beginning, however, the hero will be very weakened compared to its final form, after he has lost his capacities.

The release of Vampire: The Masquarade – Bloodlines 2 is planned for October this year for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Recently new details of role play based on the preview of journalists have been published.
