Bungie Studio has made a rather controversial decision that will deprive the coming shooter Marathon shares of Fun. The developers decided to leave the proximity treasure, for fear that the players would feel uncomfortable.
With this position you can hear players in the neighborhood and communicate with them with a voice, which is certainly in the type of game Escape from Tarkov and other shooters. However, it will not be in the marathon – as the Gamedector Joe Ziegler admitted in an interview with PC Gamer, so the studio decided to protect the gamers:
I think it is to create a safe environment for players in this space. I don’t think someone already has a good solution for this problem. That is why we have decided to create a safe space where players will not insult each other alone or do something terrible. I think we are not ready to add the proximity treasure until we have a solution.
Although Bungie has left a Maas in her statement and is not ready to leave the position completely, the statement sounds strange. Moreover, players themselves can eliminate the proximity treasure in other projects if something does not suit them.

Remember that the marathon will be a team online, in which players have to collect prey at locations and have to successfully evacuate. The release is planned for September 23 for PC, Xbox Series X/s and PS5. The developers also started to accept applications for closed tests.
