A former DICE employee said the new part Battlefield is being developed by a completely new team: 98% of the old employees have left the studio. According to the developer, this situation arose as a result of a large-scale restructuring of Electronic Arts, launched after several failed launches.

For this reason, the developer advises to ‘moderate expectations’. “This is a new era in the series, created by a completely new group of people following a new philosophy. Whether this is good or bad depends on your personal worldview,” he wrote in Bluesky.

There are currently four studios working on Battlefield 2025: DICE, Criterion, Ripple Effect and EA Motive. It was previously reported that the game’s events will take place in a modern setting and controversial innovations such as specialists and 128-person battles will be done away with.
