A free to play Attack on Titan game with an open world and cool flight mechanics has gone viral on the internet. It has already been downloaded 10 million times

A fan-made game based on the anime Attack on Titan is gaining popularity online. The development of the open world action began in January 2021 by one person under the moniker Swammy. Then a fan made a small demonstration of flying using the UPM (“three-dimensional maneuvering device”), but his girlfriend advised to put the gameplay on the network, and he unexpectedly got tens of thousands of views.

The positive response inspired Swammy to continue developing. The author has added several Titans (like in the anime, to kill them you have to hit the neck with knives) and even a cooperative mode.

The main feature of the game can be considered as the mechanics of flight, which is similar to that of Marvel’s Spider Man. The resemblance to the action game Insomniac Games is enhanced by other features such as wall running and tricks in the air.

The promotion has attracted the attention of foreign media and influencers in the past 24 hours, and one of the publications on Twitter with a new trailer collected million views and thousands of likes. The game has already reached 10 million downloads.

Now the developer is in the process of transferring the project to the Unreal Engine 5 engine, which will significantly improve the graphics. You can download the current version of the game here.
