In honor of International Cat Day, GSC Studio showed a new concept art – a bayun cat. This mutant was invented as part of the international competition “Monster’s Ball”, which was held in 2003 by GSC Game World.
Then the mutants who won the competition were supposed to come into play. However, Bayun turned out to be quite difficult to implement due to the need to include many replicas for it. It also had to be animated, which was difficult to implement on the X-Ray engine. The cat in the games of the series remained only in the form of a stuffed animal.
