Marvel Rivals is a PvP action game inspired by Overwatch and dedicated to the Marvel Universe. As in other similar shooters, the outcome of the match here directly depends on your strategy. And it, in turn, is formed thanks to the skills of the selected heroes. Let’s see which characters are most preferable due to their skills and combinations of different skills.
Squirrel girl

Squirrel Girl is one of the most practical heroes in the early stages of the game due to her simplicity and quite strong skills.
Her default attack is the ability to shoot exploding acorns at enemies. In addition, the character can call on the help of a team of assistant squirrels or launch a whirlwind of these animals. The heroine also has an improved way of moving: use her tail to jump higher.
This hero’s features can be improved if Spider-Man is part of the team to be able to create and use a web bomb.
Magneto

If you prefer to play defensive characters from the start, then Magneto is ideal for you. Combining high damage and good defense, he is one of the smartest representatives of the “Defender” class.
To shoot at fighters, Magneto uses magnetic spheres and a special cannon, which is charged by deflecting projectiles with other abilities. The cannon’s readiness is also shown as the number of rings on the hero’s back. The more rings, the higher the damage, up to a complete knockout of the opponent in one hit.

The mutant is protected from a rapid fall: his passive ability allows him to slow his uncontrolled descent. Magneto’s abilities also allow him to instantly create a shield against nearby metal objects to protect against flying projectiles, surround himself or an ally with protection of iron or metal respectively, and also combine scrap metal into a large round object. And the Scarlet Witch can help you craft and enchant your two-handed sword.
Poison

Another equally weak defender is Venom. It features a fairly impressive health recovery system, making it difficult to kill and allowing you to spend more time learning the basics of combat. The symbiote is quite mobile: it can move quickly along walls, move a little on its tentacles and jump from heights, causing damage to a nearby enemy,
For a normal attack, the hero uses tentacles, which can immobilize the enemy and damage his health, and for an ultimate attack, he buries himself underground to cause as much damage as possible by pressing the right button.
Luna Snow

Ideal for players who want to play as a support character straight away. Luna Snow fires ice projectiles that can take 20 health points from an enemy or return a similar number to your ally if you hit them.
The heroine can also use their smaller version as a mass attack ability to replenish her own health. Also, if you run forward for a while, you can move faster and jump higher.

Allies are also not left behind: you can enchant them to increase the speed of health recovery or help in the battle with the enemy by freezing him and stealing part of his health. Fits perfectly with Jeff the Shark, Namer or Iron Fist: the fighters mutually reinforce each other’s qualities.
Scarlet witch

Scarlet Witch is a fairly easy character to use and has some pretty strong offensive stats, making her one of the very best in Marvel Rivals.
With a normal attack you can fire magical projectiles at your opponents, the damage they take depends on the enemy’s maximum health. Not only are they included in her arsenal, but also stun bombs and missiles created by magic;
An important skill of the heroine is the ability to fly: for example, she can become invisible or hit the ground with a large burst of energy. Like Magneto, the sorceress slows her speed when she falls. However, they are united not only by this, but also by a joint improvement, which consists of a magical mutant sword.
Iron fist

He can easily be called one of the best heroes for combining fast mobility and good damage. To fight opponents, he uses the Jeet Kune Do technique, which allows him to run towards a departing character to unleash a series of attacks on him. Successful hits reduce the cooldown time of skills slightly.
He has a wide variety of movement mechanics: he can run and push off walls, attack while jumping, and block opponents’ attacks more consistently. Additionally, several skills increase the speed at which health points are restored.
Punishment star

Essential for players who prefer to play tank characters. By default, he uses two types of weapons: an automatic rifle and a shotgun, which can be switched between at any time. In addition, the mercenary has all the necessary arsenal: a portable turret, smoke grenades, a submachine gun and a mobile zipline are at his disposal, and a passive skill briefly highlights opponents who have disappeared from view.
Psylocke

The ability to leave the battlefield in time and stay alive is valued in any battle. In Marvel Rivals, Psylocke copes with this task perfectly, using wrist devices to successfully shoot at opponents and reduce the cooldown time of skills.
The heroine can also use shurikens that cling to opponents, cut all enemies in her path with blades, hit the nearest enemy with a katana or become invisible for a few seconds.
When used in conjunction with Black Panther, it is possible to quickly return to where your character was a few seconds ago.
Hawkeye

In games like this, there is always a character who uses a bow. Here it is Hawkeye, who can shoot explosive, crushing, super-fast and of course regular arrows. The fighter also has close combat skills: he wields a katana and calmly performs a double jump.
Hawkeye’s ultimate ability: By focusing on an enemy’s projection, the damage dealt to it is transferred to the protagonist. If Black Widow is also on your team, she can communicate with the projection.
Shark Jeff

Jeff the Shark is one of the standout characters in the Support class, with fairly strong mobility combined with a host of health-restoring abilities and a reduction in damage from critical hits. First, he can release a wave that will heal all teammates along the way by 100 units, or a water orb that will hit enemies. In addition, thanks to one skill, the hero hides under the surface, leaving only a fin on the surface. This increases his movement speed, adds the ability to climb walls, and gradually returns spent health.
Jeff can also launch a huge water funnel, which absorbs all enemies and allies in its beam, transporting them beneath the surface and returning them to the wild after a while. For example, it is quite easy to knock opponents off the map.
By using a shark on the same team as Groot, the first hero can jump onto the other’s shoulders and reduce the damage dealt to him.
Hela

Hela can do good damage at both medium and long range. The Goddess of Death throws enchanted sharp blades that can be turned into explosive blades thanks to one of her abilities.
The heroine also wields other spells: she can briefly transform herself into a crow or use a magical orb to stun nearby enemies. Hela is also able to unleash enemy crows: by killing opponents or by using her ultimate ability, briefly flying into the air.
Goes well with Thor or Loki: instantly revives them or restores some of their health after taking out their opponent.
Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange’s abilities are not much different in purpose from the abilities of other wizards in the game: he fires a magical projectile, flies up for a few seconds and deals dark magical damage to nearby enemies, which stacks up with hits on opponents. His other features include the ability to open portals between two points and create a protective barrier in front of him.
The ultimate ability is reminiscent of Hawkeye, as it similarly separates the opponent’s projection, but is applied to multiple enemies at once.
Captain America

Captain America’s abilities are very varied due to the ability to use the shield in both melee and ranged combat, as well as for protection. In addition, the hero can make small sprints forward, leave a trail that increases the abilities of his allies, and jump higher to attack upon landing.
It is very practical to use a character from the same team as Thor or Storm: this gives his shield the power of lightning and increases his movement speed.
As you can see, one of the advantages of Marvel Rivals is the impressive variety of unique abilities of the heroes, which makes it easy to choose the right fighter.
