An hour and a half of gameplay appeared on Eric Hauter’s YouTube channel Avowed, a new role-playing game from Obsidian Entertainment. The blogger showed an early version of the game with different mechanics and content from the beginning.
The game is really reminiscent The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim: A player arriving by ship can explore the available locations in any way they wish, searching different corners, completing quests, gathering supplies and resources, and battling opponents. The battles for the magical construction are interestingly implemented: the main character uses a magic wand and a grimoire with spells. Eric Hauter, by the way, praised the early build, calling the project “a beautiful, deep and exciting game.” He is also confident that Obsidian’s new RPG will be one of the best RPGs of next year.
Avowed will be released on February 18, 2025 for PC and Xbox Series X/S. The game will go straight to Game Pass.
Previously, pre-orders for Avowed were opened – the project could be purchased on Russian Steam for some time, but then the game was removed. However, the Russian language remains in the list of localizations.
