The launch of the Intel Core Ultra 200S processor was not the most successful: in tests it showed rather poor gaming performance compared to its predecessors. The company has already confirmed the problem: the first corrective patches will be released in November.

Acting Intel Vice President and General Manager Robert Hollow told Tom’s Hardware that the poor performance was affected by an optimization issue on the Arrow Lake platform, which caused the BIOS and operating system to crash in some cases. The developers are already working on the bugs; at least two updates will be released by the end of November.

Intel experts have also identified an issue with memory latency of up to 180 nanoseconds. However, it did not affect game performance. The company promised to conduct an audit to understand the reasons for the failed launch.

Meanwhile, Intel reported massive losses in the billions of dollars. Sales of the new Intel Core Ultra line failed at first – all the attention of buyers was attracted by the AMD processor.

The final STALKER 2 systems have been released
