Appearance and equipment

The new product comes in a white box with a full-size image of the tablet. Inside is the device itself, a cable and 66W fast charging.

On sale you will find both a basic version and a set of HONOR MagicPad 2 with a keyboard case and a Magic-Pencil 3 stylus. These devices are useful at work and can be easily connected to the tablet.

HONOR MagicPad 2 offers two colors to choose from: Textured Moonlight White and Matte Black Black. The lid is not completely smooth, so the tablet does not slip out of your hands. Fingerprints are almost invisible on this texture. The thickness of the device is 5.8 mm and MagicPad 2 weighs just over 550 grams.
On the top frame there is a power button and holes for speakers and a microphone, not far from it on the left frame there is a volume control, on the bottom there is a USB Type-C port and holes for audio.
The tablet uses 8 speakers in total. Together with the display, they received IMAX Enhanced certification. In reality, this means higher quality, deeper sound and a clearer picture, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in watching a movie.
One of the main advantages of HONOR MagicPad 2 is its OLED screen with a peak brightness of 1600 nits and support for a frequency of 144 Hz. This 12.3-inch screen is very bright, so you can use the tablet without any problems, even on a sunny day. The 3K resolution (3000 x 1920) is sufficient to watch movies in top quality. Separately, we note that the PWM screen dimming is 4320 Hz, which will help people with sensitive eyes to use the device. The tablet also offers AI defocus technology to reduce the risk of myopia. It creates a defocus effect in the peripheral vision while keeping central vision clear.

The outer camera on the lid protrudes slightly, so you should not place the tablet with the camera facing down without a case. The module itself uses a 13 megapixel matrix with autofocus and support for 4K video at 30 frames per second. There is no video stabilization, but the videos themselves are of high enough quality to use in everyday life. There are no special complaints about the photos – the photo level is comparable to that of mid-budget smartphones, without many details.
The 9 MP front camera is located in the center above the screen and works well for portrait photos and videos. Suitable for conferences and calls.
Productivity and gaming
HONOR MagicPad 2 uses a 4nm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and the memory configuration is 12 + 256 GB. Moreover, you can get 8 GB out of the drive with HONOR RAM Turbo. There is no support for SIM cards, as well as support for external expansion. Therefore, you only have to be satisfied with the built-in memory of the tablet.
We tested the tablet in Geekbench 6, AnTuTu and 3DMark tests (results in images).
The device performs well in games: Call of Duty, PUBG and other not the most demanding games demonstrate a smooth 60 FPS on high settings. Heavy projects like Genshin Impact require adjustments to get a stable frequency.
The battery capacity of the HONOR MagicPad is a whopping 10,050 mAh, which is enough for a day – whether gaming or working in applications. The tablet charges quickly: up to 40% in just 30 minutes.
HONOR MagicPad 2 runs smoothly on Magic OS 8.0 based on Android 14. The screen can be divided into two or three applications in any ratio and orientation. The tablet also uses the Magic Portal clipboard: this feature includes actions to select text or images and send them to the desired application in one motion. For example, if you select a photo, Magic Portal offers to recognize the object or share it on social networks.

When working with notes, drawings or text, HONOR MagicPad 2 uses artificial intelligence technologies. For example, it recognizes mathematical formulas from handwriting. The native applications include HONOR documents and HONOR notes – all these functions work natively.
Results and prizes

The HONOR MagicPad 2 tablet stands out for its bright and fast OLED screen and good sound. The performance is absolutely sufficient for games and active applications with high battery capacity and a thin form factor.
It can play the role of both an on-the-go media device and a workstation, especially when paired with a keyboard and stylus.
Perfect construction! HONOR MagicPad 2 is a lightweight, resource-intensive and productive tablet with flagship components.
