This month, ASUS released a new portable gaming console, the ROG Ally X, which has already been compared in detail against its main competitor, the Steam Deck, in many popular games at different graphical settings.

Judging from the video, ROG Ally X can show a higher frame rate. This is especially noticeable in Elden Ring, Baldur’s Gate 3 The Witcher 3 Starfield and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade. The performance difference sometimes reaches 10-20 FPS in favor of the ASUS console, provided that turbo mode is enabled.

By the way, ROG Ally X produces a 1080p image, while most games on the Steam Deck run at 800p.
The video also compared the speed of loading screens. For example, within God of War’s loading times were 18 seconds on Steam Deck and 9.9 seconds on ROG Ally X.

Battery life is also on the ROG Ally X’s side. Cyberpunk 2077 managed to run for 1 hour and 22 minutes on the Steam Deck, and 2 hours and 46 minutes on the ROG Ally X (1 hour and 59 minutes in turbo mode).

When it comes to price, the Steam Deck wins here. For example, the official cost of the 64GB LCD version in the US is $349 (the 1TB OLED version sells for $649). ROG Ally X, on the other hand, costs $800.
By the way, a few days ago there was also a video comparing ROG Ally X with the regular ROG Ally.

The features of ROG Ally X can be found here . As for the Steam Deck, we previously published a detailed article about this console, in which we discussed its pros and cons.
