Despite the exit Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail, developers of HoYoverse continue to develop Genshin Impact. In mid-July, the game received a major update 4.8. It added unique heroes and weapons for them, quests and temporary tasks. In this guide, we will discuss the North Wind Squall challenge series.

How to participate in the “Summer! Dragons? Fairytale!”
You must meet two conditions:
- Get adventure rank 18;
- Complete the Archon mission “Song of Dragon Freedom”;
- Complete the quest ‘The Story Begins in the Forest Where No Rain Falls’ to unlock the new Simulanka region.
Please note that all temporary tasks will be available from July 17th to August 24th. If you don’t have time to complete them before the release of Update 5.0, they will no longer be available to you.

This is how you start your summer! Dragons? Fairytale!” and gain access to the Northern Wind Squall challenge series
After starting the event, you will need to complete the quest “Brave North Wind”. Travel to the north of the Forest of Blessings and look for a flying squirrel named Clanche. Talk to her to learn the features of the new minigame. After this, the quest will be considered complete and you will receive 4 adventure experience points and 10,000 mora.

Rules for the minigame “Squall of the North Wind”
In this series of challenges you have to fly at high speed and shoot at targets with an arc. Each shot consumes energy, which is restored over time. To hit simple targets, a simple hit is enough, but to knock down the ball you need a charged shot. To perform it, hold down the button responsible for the attack for a few seconds.

If you encounter a bomb target on your way, shoot it first. The explosion will destroy nearby targets, and you don’t have to waste time on it. Against slimes, use a series of simple shots.

While flying, try not to bump into branches or other stationary objects in your path. Any collision will deprive you of points.
First test. Against the storm
Open the event page and select the line ‘Against the Storm’. You need the red pedestal, which is in the north of the area, southwest of the teleport.

Movement during flight is standard, shooting is performed using the attack keys.
For completing the test, you will receive 30 Source Stones, Mora and other resources. If you score more than 1000 points, you will get more coins and materials. There is an extra bonus for those who score 1500 points.

We will update the guide as new challenges appear.
