Mintara is a possible companion you can recruit into Baldur’s Gate 3. When Mintara is trapped in the Towers of the Moon, this is your only chance to rescue and recruit her while you still can. We will tell you how to do this in this manual.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Guides
How to activate the quest “Determine the fate of Mintara”
To reach this location in Baldur’s Gate 3, you must side with Mintara by destroying the Emerald Grove (or side with her without destroying the forest). There is another option, where you kill three leaders in the Goblin Camp (one of which is Mintara), but the final blow to Mintara should not be fatal – this way she will lose consciousness and remain alive.

Side with Mintara and convince her to meet in the Moon Towers. However, once you enter the throne room there, you will see that Mintara Keteric has somehow angered Torm. Ultimately, you’ll be presented with several dialogue options during this scene that involve control “Wisdom”But all these options will lead to the same thing: Mintara will be sent to prison under the towers.
How to save Mintara

After this scene you will receive a quest “Secure the Fate of Mintara”. This will activate a quest marker that shows where the stairs to the Lunar Towers Prison are located, and there we can save Mintara from execution. If you still can’t find her, just take the west exit from the throne room, up the small stairs, and then go down the next set of stairs straight in front of you. Once in the prison, head to the southern part of the zone to find the prisoner.

The first way to deal with this unpleasant situation is to convince the guards to let you deal with Mintara. Once you start a conversation with them, select the first dialogue option. After this, you will be presented with verification options “Disappointment” And “Intimidation”. Choose the one your character is better at to progress.

This allows you to attack the guards directly or enter Mintara’s mind. If you have difficulty passing the test 18you will be able to talk to Mintara through her consciousness.
Here you have three options:
- Enlist her support in the fight against the guards.
- Have her pretend to be obedient so they go away.
- Reveal yourself as a villain and erase her mind yourself.
For our purposes, either of the first two options will do. If you decide to force her to feign obedience, you will have to pass a test “Intimidation”, “Disappointment” or “Believe”to convince the guards that the job is done.
How to escape from the Moon Towers
Once Mintara is freed, get her out of the Moon Towers. Once you leave the prison cell, one of the nearby guards will stop and ask you to explain what’s going on. Again, you will need to be tested “Intimidation”, “Disappointment” or “Believe”. Otherwise you will have to fight the cell guards. It doesn’t matter what the outcome of this conversation will be, because you will still have to break through in the battle.
You then immediately leave the front door of the location. There will be a final conversation here before Mintara truly becomes free.
We also recommend that you do not forget thatthat depending on your progress, there may be other prisoners in the prison: tieflings, dwarf Wulbren or all together.
