No Rest for the Wicked is a challenging RPG from the makers Ori, where players must pay attention to the process of saving the game. In this game, progress is only saved in special places. Our guide will give you information on which items to save, how they work, and where to find them on the game map.

Where and how to save in No Rest for the Wicked

To save your game in No Rest For The Wicked, you must interact with a special object known as the Cerim Whisper, a mystical blue orb. In the starting area of the Sea Fort you will find several similar points. On the map below, some of them are marked to make it easier for you to navigate. After you activate Cerim Whisper for the first time, the object will appear as a white swirl on your map, making it easy to find in the future.

When a hero dies in No Rest For The Wicked, he is reborn during the last active Cerim Whisper he had contact with. This is similar to the Place of Grace system from the Elden Ring game. But unlike Elden Ring, enemies in No Rest For The Wicked don’t return immediately after you respawn. Also keep in mind that frequent deaths will lead to wear and tear on your equipment, requiring repairs in the future.

Although Cerim Whisper restores full health upon interaction, the object cannot heal the hero while he moves. To restore health, you need to use food. The game allows you to cook food over a fire, which gives you more health than raw ingredients.

Advice: Interact with Cerim Whisper before leaving the game, even if you activated it previously. If this is not done, all progress since the last interaction will be lost.
