The Arcads service, which can create videos with virtual avatars, is quickly gaining popularity on the Internet. In fact, the videos turn out to be too believable – this is one of the few cases where recognizing AI is not so easy.
The neural network converts the typed text into a video with the assistance of an AI actor. Judging from the examples below, it really appears to be of very high quality.
Arcads is positioned as a solution for marketers who want to create low-cost and high-quality social networking ads. Nevertheless, the new product also attracted regular users who wanted the actors to simply play in front of the camera. In one of the videos there is a girl explainsthat’s Satoshi Nakamoto, reading lines from the song Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley.
However, soon after the premiere, a minor scandal surrounding Arcads broke out. The creators of the service assured that all videos “whole” generated by artificial intelligence, but many users write that this is not so. Each video is actually based on real footage, which is then processed using deepfake technology. A neural network called HeyGen works in a similar way.
“The CEO of Arcads simply lied to people about how “the actors are 100% AI generated.” This really pisses me off. This is just total dishonesty and fraud.”— @BenjaminDEKR.
“Beware of artificial intelligence companies that falsely claim things that are not true. Arcads apparently claims that their AI actors are 100% AI generated, while the world has learned that the same actors were found on Fiverr.— @Ta_nush.
“It’s not “just AI.” The woman is real and I almost hired her on Fiverr last month. Arcads simply licensed her appearance and trained an artificial intelligence model based on her videos. In theory you could do this yourself with HeyGen.”— @hvost.
To generate a video, you need to write text and select one of the templates on the official website. The service is paid – 10 similar shorts cost 100 euros (10 thousand rubles).
😁 Blizzard also managed to ruin the gameplay here
