Patch 1.5.0 for Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 had to fix a serious control bug that caused the hero to turn in a strictly limited direction. However, players report that the update has not changed anything.

Games in the Master Collection, including Metal gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal gear solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 was supposed to be adapted for modern devices, but instead the developers simply carried over the old D-pad controls with no changes. Turning the left stick should rotate the character 360 degrees, but instead it simply changes one of eight directions, just like in the old version.

It is noteworthy that unofficial emulators coped with the task much better, as shown in the video below.

Six months later, Konami finally released a patch to fix the bug. However, players on Steam claim that everything remains the same.

“Once again I ask: please fix the analog support,” player nicknamed Vandius.

“The analog problem is not solved,” confirms user gliv.

“It doesn’t work because the analog stick is still attached to the up, down, left and right buttons,” Bisonfan95.

Konami itself has already responded to the issues with the patch and advised players to update their Steam Input templates.

The collection currently has only 51 percent positive reviews on Steam.

The studio previously presented a demo version of the new run ‘n’ gun action Contra: Operation Galuga and showed the game trailer.
