PlayStation veteran Michael Mumbauer and creative director Days Gone John Garvin founded a new game studio, Liithos. Her first project is Ashfall is a story-driven AAA open-world multiplayer action game.
In Ashfall, players will survive in a world “affected by global warming, volcanic eruption, mysterious and destructive energy fields, and belligerent enclaves.” You have to fight both living people and non-player characters – this is a PvPvE project. In terms of gameplay, it will be similar to Days Gone.
The team would be made up of the “best minds” in developing AAA projects. The team’s goal is to create a game using new technologies to create user-generated content. Blockchain-like technology will help bring a “deeper and more engaging experience”.
The release date of Ashfall is unknown.
