The game offers different types of resources needed to complete campaigns and discover new types of weapons and equipment. In the guide we will tell you how to get medals and skins and how to farm all available resources most efficiently.

Medals are a special currency in Helldivers 2 that can be used for new weapons, skins and other items. By completing different missions you can earn these rewards in small amounts. However, some events and activities offer better ways to collect medals quickly. Instead of just going through companies.

To earn medals, we recommend focusing on side missions or two-part missions. The former imply an additional reward for completion. The latter cover a larger area and have a larger number of POIs (Points of Interest), in which additional rewards can be found more often. You or your team can always find caches on the map during missions to receive medals as loot from random containers on the planet. We advise you to pay attention to the daily challenges called “Personal Orders”. They are updated once a day and can be completed in parallel with the main objectives of the tasks. This reward is also important, because each personal order will give you many more medals than you would get with a cache on the map.

Samples are used to unlock an entire category of upgrades as you progress. Without them, you’ll miss out on a lot of ship upgrades that provide invaluable bonuses to your military stratagems. You’ll need them to complete higher difficulties with rare monsters to progress.

The easiest way to obtain samples is to search for points of interest (POIs), such as scientific bases, houses on the borders of locations, and crash sites. They can also be found in enemy positions, although their appearance varies depending on your current location. In the Terminid region, for example, they appear as bulbous growths on thin stems near insect nests and burrows. In human habitats they look like flat, rectangular boxes. The easiest way to find the points is to activate radio towers. This not only increases your experience, but also unlocks every POI on the map. You can then plan a route with your team to collect as many samples as possible.

Remember that you can only get rare monsters after Challenger difficulty. Don’t forget to collect the sample containers after death so you don’t lose them forever.

Experience and money are also very valuable when unlocking and purchasing new weapons and equipment. However, they can be obtained by completing all tasks and activities in the game in approximately equal amounts, depending on the complexity of the tasks performed. Follow the tips below to obtain resources quickly.

You should select tasks from the sector with vending machines and the smallest location area. Businesses of this type require the destruction of a certain number of opponents and do not impose large time limits. The small area of ​​the location gives a good advantage. It is not necessary to go through everything in the selected sector. Only complete clearing missions and move on to other areas. If you gather a full squad and work out the passage patterns, you can complete them in 3-4 minutes.

Each team member must choose the strategies of a conventional and electromagnetic mortar, which opens at level 20. For the remaining positions, you can select any strategies suitable for mass clearance. The main feature is the automatic landing ships, which land enemies and heavy equipment, and the selected devices fire from the moment the targets appear.

The choice of weapon plays virtually no role. On missions like this we recommend optionally equipping something with a sniper scope to destroy the weak points of armored targets. After landing, each participant installs two mortars and starts collecting “samples” before the bulk of the opponents appear. Be careful when moving around the map, take into account the location of your opponents and don’t get hit by your own mortar launchers. Also in the center of the map, enemies plant heavy weapons and tanks that can kill you upon landing. After complete cleansing, you can continue to repeat this pattern for maximum benefit.
