A Butterfly Flying Silently Through the Valley in Genshin Impact: How to Get Started and Progress

This quest is considered hidden because it won’t appear in your task log until you’re almost done with it. You need to teleport to the fast travel point, which is marked on the map below, and then follow the only path that leads through a small river.

This will take you to a cave where you can go down and start the task. Please note that you will definitely visit this area if you are looking for spiritual carp. Continue deeper into the cave until a cutscene begins showing the main characters talking to a sacred simulacrum. He will give a small hint, but the task will never appear in the diary.

To complete the quest, you must explore the area and find five butterflies by completing various challenges. Below we have described how to find them all.

Run along the left side of the cave and look into a distant adit with ships. You will need to rearrange the jugs to unblock the barrels and access new jugs. Finally, place two jugs near the distant vessel in which the butterfly is hidden – nothing complicated.

Go back and run along the left side as well. You will see a flock of butterflies in one of the pots scattered around this area. When you interact with them, a mini-test will begin.

You have to find butterflies hidden nearby. Examine some pots and then use one of your heroes’ Anemo ability on the windmill to create an air current and take the last butterfly up the hill.

You will receive the next butterfly if you touch the carefree simulacrum and place it on the lighted platform next to the pond. At this point he will give a little hint: you will have to climb to the top of the stalagmite and wait a while. A butterfly appears and flies independently to the sphere.

From the previous point, turn the camera up and look for a golden carp to lure to. From here you will see a passage to the adit, which is blocked by spider webs.

Eliminate all enemies here and free the butterfly floating above the wooden platform. She, like the fairies in Genshin Impact, will have to be escorted to the exit of the adit.

To get the last butterfly, all you have to do is go back, then turn left and slide down. Here you will see the only test in the area – complete it so that the butterfly returns to the sphere.

Once the last butterfly is found, the quest will appear in the task log. You must return to the beginning of the cave and approach the simulacrum.

After talking to the simulacrum, watch the video and the task will update. Go to the central part of the location and interact with the tree. A branch of the ancient tree will be added to your inventory and a luxury chest will appear next to it.

A marker will appear on the map showing where you need to go. You could have visited the Adept’s chambers during the “Jade Blessing” quest. Climb onto the large can and place the branch you obtained earlier here.

A luxurious chest will appear in the secret vault of the Adept, and you will be able to get acquainted with several manuscripts. You can also place the sacred simulacrum here, which you previously placed on a hill, so that it will reveal a little secret to you.

Once you interact with the three notes on the bookshelves, the quest will be completed and you will unlock the achievement “When is Spring or Fall?” in the “Wonders of the World” section (5 source stones).
