Russian studio Owlcat Games, known for fantasy RPGs Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has announced Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader. Like previous projects from the studio, the new game will be a classic party RPG, based on the board game of the same name.

In Rogue Trader, players take on the role of a traveling trader, descendant of an ancient privateer dynasty, who rules their own trading empire and explores the periphery of Imperial space. Thanks to his trading order, the hero is endowed with privileges and great power. He has at his disposal a gigantic ship of enormous strength and countless servants and personnel ready to carry out any command of their commander.

During the passage, players visit many planets, encounter allies and dangerous enemies of the Imperium, Chaos cultists and Xenos, who are considered the most insidious in the universe. Gamers will have to make decisions on which the lives of entire worlds will depend.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is being developed for PC and consoles. The release date has not been announced. Before the release, the authors will conduct several beta tests, which will be accessed for the purchase of one of the sets on the official website. The cheapest is $40 (which includes a digital copy of the game, access to a future beta test, and a Discord server), and the most expensive is $99.
