Studio Revolution Software announced two projects at once in the cult series of quests Broken Sword. First, the developers are preparing a re-release of the first part of Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars: Reforged. Secondly, we are waiting for a full-fledged sixth part subtitled Parzival’s Stone. Both projects can be seen in the video below.
The remaster of Shadow of the Templars (the original was released in 1996 anyway) gets restored graphics and support for 4K resolution. According to series co-author Charles Cecil (Charles Cecil), the artists had to partially use the services of neural networks due to the limited budget. The release is scheduled for early 2024.
Parzival’s Stone is a brand new adventure in which George and Niko must uncover a conspiracy involving… “Nazis, Medieval Legends and Quantum Physics”. The game uses a now fashionable mix of 2D and 3D: hand-drawn textures are superimposed on three-dimensional models.

Many fans warmly greeted the announcement of their favorite series. For some, the one and a half minute video has become the main event of gamescom 2023.
