Cartoons Hayao Miyazaki (Hayao Miyazaki) not only dedicated to Japan. For example, the events of “The Witch’s Delivery Service” take place in an unnamed European city, and the landscapes of “Porco Rosso” are reminiscent of Italy. Artists Dmitry Alekseev and Sergey Kozlov tried to imagine what a painting about Russia in the early 2000s might look like.
In the video you see well-known panel houses, stalls and a pot-bellied TV with Chip and Dale. Sometimes characters from original Miyazaki cartoons flash into the frame. An orchestral version of the song “It Happens in Life” by the group “Dots” plays in the background.

The video was created with Midjourney and After Effects. The audience really appreciated the video and thanked the authors for the happy memories.
“It seems to me that if such a cartoon were really made, it would just tear everything in the world in terms of views in our country”— @Muzhikov.
“Good job guys! Very cool, thanks!” — @vfspb.
“My heart ached … Gorbushka, dacha …” — @user-uh7pi8bh6w.
“When I saw a bitten piece of harbushka near a long loaf of bread, and dust particles playing on a sunbeam in the bedroom, tears flowed. How long ago, and at the same time quite recently.@missv.3101.
In June, Hayao Miyazaki released the cartoon “How are you?” out, the last in the career of a great artist. The picture officially appears in the Russian box office, but the exact date of the premiere is unknown.
