A new role-playing game has been released on Steam called Early Access Waven, which is distributed on an F2P model. That is, the project can be downloaded for free. Initial reviews are mixed (54% rating).
The developer is the French company Ankama Games, known for tactical MMO Dofus and action adventure Wakfu Islands.
It is noteworthy that Waven was in the top 100 most popular games on Steam on day one. Peak online amounted to 11.3 thousand users.
The emphasis is on multiplayer. The action takes place in a fantasy world where a large-scale flood has occurred. Only a few islands remained on the surface. Brave adventurers want to discover the causes of the disaster and find ancient treasures.
“The game combines elements of adventure and turn-based strategy, as well as card-building mechanics and valuable collectibles. The game is inspired by the best tactical RPGs”says the description.
Battles take place in turn-based mode. There is a pump system. For example, gamers can learn new spells and improve equipment.
