San Diego Comic-con (SDCC) is an annual event where major companies such as Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm and Sony talk about their projects. This year the festival runs from July 20 to 23. In the material we have collected all the interesting announcements of the event.
At SDCC there was room for both game announcements and various trailers for films and animated series. Granted, this time many of the biggest movie companies refused to participate because of the Hollywood Actors Guild strike.
And one more thing: San Diego Comic-con is in full swing, which means we’ll be updating this article regularly over the next few days, with the most interesting announcements and trailers.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 trailer
As part of the festival, Sony shared a new story trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. In it, you can see the enemies of the main characters (Venom and Kraven the hunter with minions), as well as friends and allies of Parker and Morales. Particular attention from the public was paid to the updated image of Mary Jane.

Limited design for PlayStation 5
In the second video, the company showed the unique design of the PS5. The DualSense console and gamepad itself is inspired by the Spider-Man suit that takes over Venom.
The release of the bundle is scheduled for September 1, 2023.
Collector’s Edition Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
CDPR has announced a Collector’s Edition of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty’s Secret Agents Gear Collection. The cost is $ 180 (about 16 thousand rubles). Inside – figures of major DLC characters, a limited edition coin, an exclusive comic, a metal drawing of the Chimera robot and a high-quality box with a magnetic lock.
The DLC itself must be purchased separately, and the edition is already available for pre-order on CD Projekt RED’s official website. Shipping will begin in the first quarter of 2024. The DLC page on Steam is not available for Russian accounts, so it makes sense to assume that the collector’s edition will also have to be purchased indirectly.
The Walking Dead: betrayal
Developers of Other Ocean Interactive showed a trailer for a cooperative “survivor” with elements of a social detective – The Walking Dead: Betrayal. In the game based on the famous series, you have to escape from zombies and look for a traitor among your comrades-in-arms. Promised craft, character customization and cooking.
From the chips – the ability to put the walkers on friends if they shoot you. The studio has experience with similar games – they previously released the social detective Project Winter.
The release date is unknown, but the CBT will start on August 10.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem
The authors of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem shared a short video in which the main characters are caught red-handed by their teacher – the elderly Splinter – and berate them for going to the movies “along with people”.
The release of the cartoon is also scheduled for August 4 – rental in cinemas!
Borderlands movie release date
The festival announced the release date of the Borderlands film adaptation. The film will premiere on August 9, 2024.
It is unknown if the current situation with a series of strikes in Hollywood will affect the release date, let’s hope for the best.
Trailer for the fourth season of “Harley Quinn”
The trailer for Harley Quinn’s fourth season was shown at SDCC. It has 10 episodes and airs on July 27 – one episode a week.
The main event of the season will be Harley’s internal conflict and her attempts to understand if she can be a hero, not a villain.
Trailer Venomess – one of the heroines Wayfinder
Wayfinder is a Free-to-Play, Multiplayer Action RPG from Airship Syndicate, creators of Darksiders Genesis and Ruined King: A League of Legends. Players must save the world of Evenor, harnessing the power of the Wayfarer and mastering the chaos.
We are promised an exciting adventure with lots of modifiers, unique skills, mystical technologies and co-op.

The authors of Diablo 4 answer questions
But against the backdrop of collapsed ratings due to the latest patch for Diablo 4, the developers held a small press conference where they told players what to expect from the first season of the project.
Despite a lengthy discussion of aspects of the game, the authors said almost nothing about the balance changes, which outraged most players in the comments. Recall that with the latest patch many classes and builds have been developed and the overall difficulty and duration of killing mobs has increased.
Trailer of the already released “City of Sinners”
Ahead of the digital release, the creators of Bad City have unveiled an exclusive trailer for their film. The tape itself tells of the attempt of Makoto Torada, a former police officer, to put a corrupt businessman Wataru Gojo behind bars.

Adventure Time spin off
Various companies also held their presentations and conferences in separate Comic-con pavilions. For example, Original Max Animation shared a new trailer for the Adventure Time spin-off, Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake.
The project was announced two years ago. The spin-off follows the adventures of Fionna the Man and Cake the Cat, alternate versions of the series’ main characters. We have been promised ten half-hour episodes. Premiere – August 31.
Cosplay at San Diego Comic-con 2023
Like any event related to the game and movie industry, SDCC couldn’t do without a lot of cosplayers. The festival featured images of the female version of Deadpool, characters from the critically acclaimed ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’, the radio-controlled robot WALL-E and many other characters from games, movies and TV shows.
