Popularity The Witcher has been kept under cosplayers for years and is no longer dependent on the release of new parts of the series. But not all boys and girls manage to convey the images of characters familiar from the book saga. Victoria Kot, also known as Torie, is one of the few who could cosplay Triss flawlessly. We recently published her work in a weekly selection, and now we’ve decided to do a big interview with the beauty.

We learned about Victoria in 2019. Then the photographer Milligan actively published photo sets about the Witcher universe, in which Torie often acted as a red-haired sorceress. The girl had other images, for example, Yennefer and Keira Metz, but Triss in her performance most impressed cosplay lovers.

Cosplay, space flight and nudes

VGTtimes: Tell us how you got into the world of cosplay.

tory: I have been interested in photography for a long time. In fact, I shot portraits of acquaintances, animals and birds. But one day a friend offered to pose for me. Soon I got the hang of it and started making original images from improvised materials.

Then I randomly ran into a group of photographer Milligan and started following their work. It took me over six months to work up the courage and write to Victoria asking her to help me choose the shot and prepare for the shoot. She became my guide in the world of cosplay – she helped me find fabric, a wig and a seamstress. And then she checked the process and suggested how best to bring my image to life, where to find a studio, and so on. Then Vika invited me to participate in group projects, and I gladly agreed. All this I found extremely interesting and gradually cosplay became an integral part of my life.

VGTtimes: Why are you paying so much attention to The Witcher saga?

tory: It’s one of my all-time favorite fandoms, with cool costume designs, lots of thoughtful little things, and details that are fun to work with. However, sometimes it can be difficult, for example I ordered the fabric for the vest of the original Triss costume from India, because it is dupont silk with overflows of different colors.

I also liked the atmosphere of the Middle Ages in the game, I liked the plot, which allows you to define for yourself the concepts of evil and good; I was impressed by the chic music and good graphics, even by today’s standards. I find that I was also happy with books, although fiction rarely fascinates me.

VGTtimes: What was your favorite cartoon or movie called as a kid? Did you costume his main character?

tory: As a child I played racing and shooting games on the computer, which were much more interesting to me than TV. But from the cartoons I can notice “Absolute Spies” (Totally Spies!). It was hard for me to be friends with girls and I wanted to have best friends. I even asked my parents for a computer game based on this cartoon. I really loved Sam, I always wanted to be like her. By the way, while preparing the answers for this interview, I wondered if this is why I constantly dye my hair red?

I also loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Avatar, Naruto, Pokemon and as Ginger says” (as told by Ginger). I haven’t done any cosplay on the main characters of my favorite cartoons yet, but some are in the plans.

VGTtimes: You have an account on “Busty”. What kind of content do you post there?

tory: Yes, there is one. In a private feed I post teasers, backstages, selfies, costume making processes and the fan service part of filming. The subscription was kept to the minimum and a portion of the donations will go towards creating costumes and images for future shoots.

VGTtimes: Why do girls register on sites with a paid subscription? Is it just a matter of making money or some kind of personal pleasure?

tory: For me it is a matter of self-realization. I recently started leading an active social life, including a group in VK with my work and other social networks. I can’t call myself a confident person, for me keeping a page and fan service shootings is proof to myself that I can be beautiful. A kind of way out of the comfort zone, something new and unusual for me.

But, of course, the issue of revenue is also important. To implement plans and ideas in life, you have to spend quite a lot of money, because many costumes are expensive. Cosplay is not a cheap hobby. That’s why fan service shooting for me is a combination of business and pleasure.

VGTtimes: Why did you decide to make 18+ content? How did you decide to take such a step?

tory: It was a challenge for me. It was interesting to try and see if I can shoot such content. In ordinary life I am a rather shy person, I don’t even wear dresses with a neckline. But I can say that every girl who lacks self-confidence should take part in such a shoot at least once. You can not even for the network, but for yourself. It is good for liberation and helps to become more self-confident. The most important thing is to find a good photographer you can trust.

Interested in adult cosplay?

VGTtimes: How far are you willing to go in a shoot like this?

tory: Beautiful eroticism is my limit. Yes, I can go naked in front of the camera. But you won’t see vulgar angles from me.

VGTtimes: Do you think marriage and having children affect the content a female cosplayer offers?

tory: No, it all depends on the person himself. If your partner isn’t ready to accept you and your hobbies in the dating phase, then I wouldn’t think about the wedding at all.

And if harmony reigns in your relationship, then marriage and the birth of a child will not greatly affect your hobbies. Of course, family life and a small child take a lot of time and effort, but this is not a reason to give up your hobby, is it?

VGTtimes: Cosplay based on erotic movies or cartoons is rare. Why do you think? Are you planning to do such a thing?

tory: I’ve never seen a cosplay like this. Only the cartoon “Stripperella” comes to mind, but can it be considered erotic?

Although I have other images in my plans that I have long wanted to embody, they are mainly based on games and comics. Based on cartoons and movies, I rarely do cosplays.

VGTtimes: What’s the craziest fan proposal you’ve ever received?

tory: In fact, the fans never even sent me their nudes.

But I can give an example of inadequate behavior. Recently, a man wrote to me and asked me to sign the photos in a graphic editor. I warned that I had never done anything like this before, but went forward and said that I would draw in my spare time. As a result, literally two days later, malicious messages began to pour in to me that I was required to sign his photo, and he was unhappy that they forgot about him. But I am also a living person. Two days in a row I wandered all over Moscow. I wanted to draw when I was free but ended up dealing with such a strange attitude towards myself.

VGTtimes: If you could fly into space, what color would your space suit be?

tory: If I had such an opportunity, I would not think about the color of the suit at all! But if you choose, I’d stop at pink.

I note that I have long been fond of space travel and even went on excursions for elementary classes, where I talked about the structure of the solar system, as well as the flights of Gagarin and Tereshkova.

VGTtimes: Do you know your family tree? Do you have the blood of a noble girl or a charming bourgeoisie?

tory: I don’t know my family tree inside out, but I certainly didn’t have rich people among my grandparents. They kept their household, went hunting and baked incredibly delicious homemade pies.

Did you like Triss from Victoria?

VGTtimes: How long do you plan on cosplaying?

tory: Until I break down. I think any age cosplay is submissive, there are characters for different ages and every skin color. Therefore, even if I am an old woman, and the desire to cosplay is still present, I will gladly make some Baba Zina from Atomic Heart or a fairy godmother from Shrek (Shrek).

The article used photographs by Milligan. In addition to Victoria, in the pictures you can see Kristina Volkova, AshenReina, Ari Anna and Andrey Vorobyov.
