How to Complete All Trader Tasks in Resident Evil 4 (Update)

You will encounter the first task already in the first chapter, when the merchant will ask you to find and destroy five blue medallions on the farm. For each such assignment you will receive special stones – “Spinellen”. They cannot be sold, but you can exchange them for unique items, yellow grass or gems.

After the first serious encounter with the enemies, you will find yourself on a small farm next to the windmill. Look at the blue ad to the right of the closed grille for the bridge. So you will receive the first additional task from the trader. To complete it, find five blue medallions in this area.

First medallion

Turn around and examine the locked shed. A medallion hangs in the window.

Second medallion

Run to the right and go around the building with two cows. The medallion is attached to a wooden beam, so you have to shoot through the window from the outside.

Third medallion

Opposite this building is a barn. Enter and look up to find a medallion.

Fourth medallion

Go through the cow pasture and take the road you came from. The medallion is attached to the building on the right.

Fifth medallion

Return to the closed grate and enter the door on the right. Defuse the explosives, go to the second floor and go over the wooden platform to the locked shed. Turn around and find the last medallion in this area.

When you meet a trader for the first time, you will receive another assignment. It is necessary to get rid of three rats in the factory building from which you just came out. Go back and go to the long corridor along which the local resident walked with a pitchfork. At the end of it is the first rat.

Walk back a bit. There are two rats in the big room where the man with the ax was standing.

When you reach the town hall in the main square of the village, you meet the merchant again. The order will hang on the wall. You need to find three snakes. From now on, they randomly appear in wooden boxes. To kill them, it is enough to hit once with a knife or make a well-aimed shot with a firearm.

The Viper takes up two slots in your inventory, so we recommend selling them to the merchant right away. All kites sold count.

As we’ve already noted, snakes can appear randomly, but you’ll most likely find the first viper in the town hall right before you meet the merchant.

The second adder can be found in a box in a small building right after the church.

The last adder can be found in the Fish Hatchery. Just follow the water and take a look. A hissing sound helps you to find one or more snakes here.

Upon arrival at the graveyard, you can immediately complete the trader’s secondary task, which he will hand out later. To do this, examine two tombstones with the same symbols. There will also be a local resident next to them. You can remove the decals with a knife as well as shots from any firearm.

Follow the church ahead until you’re in front of a giant hammer. To his right is an order.

First medallion

Kill three dogs and look up. The first medallion hangs from the jetty.

Second medallion

Follow ahead and go to the pier with the boat. Climb down and turn the camera back towards the stairs. A second medallion hangs behind the wooden posts.

Third medallion

Go back and up the stairs. Run to the fish farm and inspect a small building with two barrels. Medallion inside.

Fourth medallion

Walk forward a bit and descend to the water. On the left there will be a small hole in the wooden wall, through which you can see the penultimate medallion.

Fifth medallion

Follow to the end of the Fish Hatchery and jump down from the platform. Turn around and examine the red box. Directly under the platform there will be a medallion to his right.

You will receive this quest right after the battle with the giant monster in the lake. Go past the altar and take the key to the old chapel. There is an advertisement on the wall to the left.

To do this, fight a giant fish, after which you will gain access to the boat. So you can explore small locations around the lake. Swim east and look around. Here you should find a golden egg.

To complete the quest, it is enough to sell the found item to the merchant.

If you have the key to the church, don’t rush back to the quarry. Instead, go to the settlement near the lake, which is located in the south of the map. Here you will find a closed door with a cult symbol, which you may have seen before. Use the cult key and enter. On the left are two barrels, as well as a trader’s announcement.

Go to the boat shed and find a big fish for it. To catch her, one well-aimed throw with a harpoon is enough.

You will find this announcement when you return from church with Ashley. The note hangs to the left of the entrance door of the town hall, right in front of the merchant.

To complete this task, return to the main square and run to the chieftain’s house, which is located in the north of the map. Passages on the right and left are blocked, but you can enter the estate itself.

On the second floor, examine the unevenly hanging painting to find a lever. Activate it and ask Ashley to lower the ladder.

Go upstairs, read all the diaries and find an old camera. Now when you return to the main street, a creepy dog ​​will appear. It’s not much different from regular infected mongrels, except maybe for a higher amount of health.
