Released last week Bleak Faith: Forsaken, a dark soulful action game from small Serbian studio Archangel. The first players noticed that the game has several animations, which were apparently copied from Elden Ring and Dark Souls 3.
In a user’s video Meowmaritus you see the bosses of Bleak Faith sometimes move in exactly the same way as in FromSoftware games. Players have also noticed that one of the swords is animated as an uchigatana from Elden Ring.

Archangel Studio has already responded to the news. According to the authors, they did not steal the animations, but bought them from the official Epic Games store. As proof, they left a link to a vendor named PersiaNinja who sells motion and attack animations. DSOGaming noted that the vendor was able to steal assets from FromSoftware.
At the same time, the team said that FromSoftware itself often uses the work of third-party authors, and some animations wander from game to game.
FromSoftware outsources most of its art for all the games you love. If you look closely you will see that they BUY hundreds of art assets from other companies and reuse them as well. Many assets are not created in-house, so developers can’t change animations on the fly.
It’s a pity if you thought that Miyazaki himself or his team of 200-300 employees made the entire game. They have thousands of contract artists from all over the world that they get content from. So don’t forget when you compare Elden Ring to our game that only three people worked on it.
Bleak Faith: Forsaken is available for purchase on Steam for 990 rubles. The game received mixed reviews.🍓 The network showcased the sex doll Yennefer from The Witcher 3
