A fan updated the graphics of the first Half-Life back in 1998 and showed what’s changed

An enthusiast nicknamed sultim_t released a cool mod for the first time Half-Life, which transforms the in-game graphics with real-time ray tracing technology. The author published a video in which he showed frames with a comparison of the visual component.

Ray tracing was especially noticeable on weapons. In gameplay scenes, you can clearly see how glare and reflections appear on the trunks. The lighting at the locations has also changed noticeably.
