Hogwarts Legacy can safely be called the best virtual tour of the Rowling universe at the moment. The corridors of Hogwarts, the Forbidden Forest, Hogsmeade, the Black Lake neighborhood – all of this was transferred straight from the movies and books to the game with love and attention to the canon. The developers weren’t afraid to rely on movies, and some locations literally copy movies. We collected thirty places known to Potter fans and found out how good the virtual Hogwarts turned out to be.

Let’s say it was impossible to achieve an ideal resemblance. After all, the film was shot in different pavilions and locations, and some scenes were created using graphics. And of course there was no “building plan” with the dimensions and layout of the rooms and floors of the castle. Even from movie to movie, some locations have changed a lot.
But this is not required. Avalanche Software has lovingly recreated familiar places, filling in the gaps with their work, all tied together with a good, if clichéd, plot and just a ton of fan service.

The game constantly pleases us with familiar locations, names, objects and symbols. Therefore, you quickly close your eyes to flaws – to fly with childish pleasure on a broomstick between the towers of Hogwarts. And we start from the Great Hall, where freshmen (and, as it turned out, fifth years) are distributed.
