Hogwarts Legacy not only hates regular players, but also at least one of the authors. Avalanche Software employee Parker Hartzler, who assisted the actors in recording motion, refused buy the game in the interest of the transgender community.
I’m not buying the game – that’s the least I can do as an ally.
[…] As always, I expect a bunch of people to jump out of nowhere and say, “I don’t care!! I’m buying the game!!” Please don’t waste energy. I’ve seen your bills and noticed you follow Joan or are on the right.

Twitter users are divided. Some called Harzler’s act hypocritical, as he actually helped make the game, which he himself boycotts. Others supported the author and wrote that otherwise he would not have had a job. Hartsler himself stated that he did not want to be homeless.
“You still have to survive, despite your beliefs. Support is support, whatever it may be”, — @Rhys_fantastico.
“Everything is fine. There is nothing hypocritical here. Your job is to make money to stay alive, not to hurt us.”, — @Tokryva.
“That is, you stick to the principles until they cost you nothing. It is obvious”, — @shennanigans95.
“If you were a true LGBTQ ally, you wouldn’t accept this job and you’d end up homeless. Too bad for the traders”, — @ChazManianDevi7.
“Don’t worry, we already know you “wokers” only talk about virtues. But at the slightest inconvenience, all your “virtues” disappear.“, — @luckym370.
“If you were a good developer, you could easily find a job elsewhere given your position and the reasons why you would lose your job. Here it is, white chivalry on Twitter and we all know you’re already playing at home”, — @IanPorter757.
The full release of Hogwarts Legacy takes place tomorrow, February 10. This man would make an excellent assassin
