Sony has launched beta testing of major PS5 firmware 7.00. It will make the interface even more convenient and add support for new features.
Most importantly, Discord voice chats appeared on the console. Apparently they work the same as on the Xbox: the chat opens in the mobile application and only then transfers to the console.
The VRR function can now operate at 1440p. Previously, she was only “friends” with 1080p and 4K.
Other improvements:
- You can ask to “share” a screen on a friend’s page;
- In group chats, the “Join” button has appeared;
- Screenshots and videos can be manually uploaded to the PS App;
- Simplified the process of transferring data from PS4 to PS5;
- DualSense learned to update wirelessly;
- Voice control is being tested. You can ask the console to start recording or save the last minutes of the game.
Beta testing takes place among a limited circle of users. According to Tom Henderson, the full release of the firmware will take place on March 8.😮 Wrap two!
