Official information has surfaced online revealing a new Superman movie starring non-Henry Cavill.
Chapter DC James Gunn has announced that a brand new Man of Steel movie called Superman: Legacy is in the works. It is noted that it is this tape that will become the starting point of the DCU movie universe and will serve as the beginning for the so-called first stage. The movie will feature a different actor who will play a brand new Superman instead of Henry Cavill, whose Man of Steel left the DC movies. Who will play the new Clark Kent has not yet been announced. Superman: Legacy will feature a younger Superman and the story will follow Clarke’s attempt to reconcile his Kryptonian heritage with a human upbringing.
It is already known that the new movie “Superman: Legacy” will be released on June 11, 2025. James Gunn is writing the screenplay for him. It is not yet known who will be the director, but earlier there was information that James Gunn himself would direct the film. It’s also worth noting that a movie called Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow was also announced in the updated DCU movie universe (“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow”). He will be talking about a superhero named Supergirl who is Superman’s cousin in DC comics.
Henry Cavill was a former Superman. In this role, he appeared in the films Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Last fall it was announced that Henry Cavill is no longer playing the role of Superman.
