Information about a brand new racing game Need for Speed from Electronic Arts has leaked to the network, merging the project’s location and images.
Insider and journalist Jeff Grubb has revealed new details about the game Need for speed 2022 Grubb previously said that the new part of Need for Speed will be set in Miami, but now he says the game will be set in a fictional version of Chicago. In addition, an insider spoke about Need for Speed 2022’s rather unusual and unique graphical style. Jeff Grubb says the game will have realistic looking cars and the same environment, but the racing project will have an anime-esque style and effects.
Speaking of the anime elements in Need for Speed 2022, Grubb says this could manifest itself in, for example, cartoonish flames flying off the car. “That’s the kind of aesthetic they seem to be aiming for. And I wonder if that’s what they mean when they say they’re going to make a fictional version of… Chicago. It’s called Lakeshore City here,” Jeff said. The insider also notes that in Need for Speed 2022 gamers will be able to change all parts of their cars.
Need for Speed 2022 is expected to be released sometime in 2022. It was previously reported that the game will only be released on the new PS5 and Xbox Series S|X consoles, as well as PC. Jeff Grubb, in turn, notes that everything he’s heard about the game right now sounds promising. However, he urged gamers to wait until all this information is officially confirmed. Grubb thinks that if Need for Speed 2022 actually comes out in 2022, then maybe it will be officially announced soon.
