The Skywalker Saga. How to play online with friends

BEE LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga developers have not added an official way to play co-op. At the moment, there are some workarounds that allow you to run multiplayer mode over the network. In this guide, we’ll show you how to play online with friends.

Unfortunately, this method does not work on all available platforms. Co-op can only be launched on PlayStation and PC via Steam, so this guide will not work for Xbox and Nintendo Switch users.

How to play LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga online on PC

To start an online session, both players must have a PC with Steam loaded. One of the users must own a copy of the game. Follow these steps to activate a cooperative game:

1. Launch LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
2. Open the in-game overlay with the Shift+Tab key combination.
3. Click on “Invite everyone to the game” under your nickname.
4. The Remote Play window opens, where you need to copy the link and send it to a friend. You can also click the Add Guest button to invite a Steam user directly.

After completing these steps, the second player must accept some conditions. After that, he will connect to the joint game.

How to play LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga online on PlayStation 4

To enable co-op play on PlayStation 4, both users must have Sony consoles with active PlayStation Plus profiles. Follow these steps to start a co-op game:

1. Start the game and click the “Share” button.
2. In the window that opens, click on “Start Share Play”.
3. Select a friend from the user list and click “Invite”. A “Party” is created.
4. Click the “Invite” button again.
5. The selected user will receive an invitation. He must click the “Join” button to join the session.
6. The host of the session must click on the ‘Give controller to participant’ button and then select ‘Play together’.

The duration of the session is 60 minutes, so after the timer ends you have to start the session again. Please note that all trophies are received by the session organizer.

How to play LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga online on PlayStation 5

The PlayStation 5 has exactly the same limitations as the previous version of the console. Follow these steps to start a co-op game:

1. Start the game.
2. Press the “PS” button and go to Game Base.
3. Create a party and use the “Join Voice Chat” button.
4. Click the “Start screen sharing” icon.
5. Use the Screen Share tab that appears and click the Start Share Play button.
6. In the section that opens, click “Play with a visitor”.

A notification is sent to the friend’s console, which must be accepted to join the game. Please note that co-op mode requires an active PlayStation Plus subscription for both users. In addition, only the organizer of the session receives prizes and the duration of the session is 60 minutes.
