The media drew attention to the interesting engineering project of Sean Hodgins (Sean Hodgins), who was able to play DOOM directly on the “holographic” Christmas tree. It looks cool.

Technically, the Christmas tree consists of a rotating block and rods with RGB LEDs. A 0.5 HP motor is used to run at a high frequency, a Raspberry PI 4 single-board computer is responsible for the control, all this is placed on a special suspension. The entire construction is hidden behind bulletproof glass so that an accidentally flying LED cannot cause injury.

Admittedly, DOOM has never been so original, although the image quality is of course not too high. At the same time, this is not a full-fledged hologram, but only its imitation.

It was previously reported that another enthusiast launched a shooter at a Christmas decoration. And you can actually play it. Another Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles redesign has leaked to the network
