“Wild Race” is a themed event throughout Genshin Impact, for participation where players can receive Source Stones and other valuable items. In this guide we will tell you how to participate in the event, how to get all available rewards and also describe the rules of the game.

How to participate in the Wild Race event. When the event ends
All players who have reached Adventure Rank 20 and who have completed the story quest in the Archons’ quests can participate in the event “Dragon Freedom Song”. There are no additional conditions.
The event lasts until 13/01/2022. A total of 5 tests are available. A new task becomes available every following day, so we recommend that you complete it in time to get all the rewards.

When you have fulfilled all the conditions, open the events menu and go to the tab of the same name. click here “To the Task”.
Teleport to Mondstadt and find a girl named Winkel. It is located near the main square of the city.
After a short dialogue, the first test becomes available to you. To participate, just interact with the dedicated desk next to Winkel. Don’t forget to rest first field compass – it was added to your inventory after talking to the girl.
Go to the inventory and open the tab “Tools”. Here you will see a new item – click on it and select “To affect”. Without a field compass, access to challenges will be blocked.
Rules of the game
You have to find as many balls as possible on the field in a limited time. The faster you can do it, the more points you get. Before embarking on a quest, you can choose to deserve, which will be active during the game. Requires the field compass’s blessed energy to receive buffs – these are special yellow bulbs. You may have already encountered similar atmospheres while participating in other events.
Blessed energy is restored over time. You can also charge the compass with such energy using field balls. All field balls in tests are divided into two types:
- Harvest bulbs found – increase the overall progress of finding field balls.
- sonar balls – Spawns multiple grain orbs that last for a limited time and then disappear.
You can complete the Wild Race Challenges with your friends. Challenge points achieved in this way are used to award event rewards and are included in co-op mode results.
What are the skills
Before starting each challenge, players must choose one of the active skills that are activated using the field compass. Here’s the list:
- Jump blessing – after requesting a certain time, the height of the character’s jump increases.
- Blessing of the wind – after applying, a wind stream appears in the place where the hero stands.
- blessing of abundance – after application for a certain time, the search radius of the field ball increases.
As we’ve already noted, a field compass is used to activate one of the skills – the key by default Z on PC. There are two charges in total – collect energy to replenish the supply and activate them at the right time.
How to complete the Downwind Challenge and collect all field balls
In this challenge, we recommend taking the skill “Blessing of the Leap” or “Blessing of the Wind”. This allows you to quickly get to the wind current or create it yourself.
You appear on the roof of the tallest building. It is necessary to slide to the roof of the adjacent building, then fly to the left and return to the small house. This way you collect about half of the balls.
Then use the wind ring to cross over to the adjacent building. Collect some balls and interact with the yellow ball. Additional orbs will appear at this point – collect them all before they disappear.
Now collect the balls on the roof of the building, where the wind rings are aimed, and go down. The remaining five spheres are on canopies over the food tents.
Challenge rewards
Complete the “In the wind” challenge:
- Collect 20 field balloons in 120 seconds: Source Stones (40), Hero Experience (4);
- Collect 25 field balloons in 120 seconds: Source Stones (40), “Freedom” Clues (4);
- Collect 30 field balloons in 120 seconds: Mora (40,000), Magic Ore Enchantment (8).
