Adam Kiczynski, CEO of CD Projekt, announced at WSE Innovation Day that a GOTY edition will be released in 2023 Cyberpunk 2077.
According to the CEO, the publication will only come out after the release of the Phantom Liberty story add-on. In addition to DLC, the GOTY version includes all updates. This edition will likely bypass the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. It will be sold at full price – at $60.
This is the natural course of events – it was the same with The Witcher, which got a GOTY edition after the release of two DLCs and has been available in stores in this form ever since. The same can be expected with Cyberpunk 2077. This is a common practice.
As for Phantom Liberty, it will be a major paid add-on with its own storyline and new location – DLC leading a new area in Night City. The add-on does not yet have an exact release date.
