A new video of a new game titled Metro: Legacy has been posted online and has surprised fans of the Metro series.
The Green Games Group development team has posted a video for the game Metro 2033: Legacy (“Metro 2033: Legacy”) online. The video is almost six and a half minutes long, showing a lot of gameplay. The protagonist of Metro 2033: Legacy explores the open world, clashes with different creatures and also talks to other characters. The authors note that work on the game Metro 2033: Legacy is already 60 percent complete. However, the developers can not yet announce when the release of the action “Metro 2033: Legacy” will take place.
Based on the video, Metro 2033: Legacy is a massive mod for Metro 2033 that turns the game’s locations into a vast open world. The authors note that they developed the game on the original Metro 2033 game engine for a long time and only in 2022 they switched to the version of the Metro: Redux engine. The developers of the Green Games Group have reworked the storyline, completed all work on 3 of the 7 chapters, worked out the endings, made the change of day and night in all locations and much more. The authors are also working on Metro 2033: Legacy dialogues and working on mini-games. With the project 60 percent complete, the Green Games Group team still has a lot of work ahead of them.
Metro 2033: Legacy doesn’t even have a rough release date yet. At the moment, the last official part of the Metro series is the game Subway: Exodus (“Subway: Exodus”), released in 2019 and developed by 4A Games.
