Kaluga Modder Andrey Olegov posted several gameplay videos from the remaster STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl. It will be possible to try the mod, the development of which began in 2010, on December 25.
The videos show various locations familiar to “Shadow of Chernobyl” fans. The developer ported the game to the OGSR engine (an improved version of the X-Ray Engine), replaced the textures with better ones, added new models and weapons.
The customization takes a lot of time, so in December Olegov will only release a 16 GB texture pack. After that, the fan takes care of the story and voice acting – according to him, you should “remove some inconsistencies“. The fan also hopes to attract people who understand”in the game engine, weapons and more“.
