Doug Cockle, voice of Geralt of Rivia in CD Projekt RED games, shared his thoughts on Henry Cavill’s departure from the Netflix series. A colleague from the witcher shop regrets that the actor will no longer play the leading role.
At the same time, Cockle felt sorry for Liam Hemsworth, who will replace Cavill.
Many people speculate about the reasons for his departure, but whatever they are, I think it’s sad. Henry did a great job as Geralt of Rivia.
I sympathize with him [Лиаму Хемсворту]. I don’t remember how much work I’ve seen from Liam, but it’s an impossible position. As an actor you don’t want to miss such an opportunity, but at the same time there is a lot at stake.

Cockle also remembered how he met Henry Cavill – it happened at the premiere of the first season of The Witcher in London.
We had a great time together for an hour or two talking about the world of The Witcher and what it’s like to be Geralt of Rivia. […] We had similar thoughts about Geralt if I remember correctly. He also felt that Geralt was not an insensitive creature, and I think you can see that in his acting.
Previously, Henry Cavill sent Doug a gift containing a set of “witcher elixirs”.

In addition, Kokkel discussed the recently announced remake of the first “The witcher. The actor is very confident that CDPR will re-record the dialogue as the approach to recording has changed so much over the years.
In 2005 the whole industry worked differently, it was a completely different environment. I didn’t have a director as such, I was directed by the developers themselves. I don’t remember exactly, but there were at least four CD Projekt RED guys there. We went through it and released a great game. However, the influence of a professional director on the quality of a shot cannot be overestimated.
Cockle noted that CD Projekt RED has not yet contacted him about working on a remake. The release date is still unknown.
Now the studio is also working on a next-gen patch for it The Witcher 3, which releases on December 14. The first screenshot can be seen here. 🍓 Porn Chess is out on Steam
